About / Mission
Liberation is our guiding principle, social transformation our goal, and oppression is the obstacle we seek to dismantle.
Vision:
A world where interconnected communities work collectively for liberation, dismantling systems of oppression and creating lasting social transformation.
We envision a future built on mutual aid, justice, and collective autonomy, where engaged communities shape an equitable and free society.
Mission:
A Radical Guide connects, amplifies, and unites liberation spaces and mutual aid efforts by mapping them, moving material support to grassroots projects, and sharing tools, histories, and frameworks for organizing.
We act as a resource hub and community builder, standing alongside people resisting oppression and creating new ways of living together.
Who we are:
A Radical Guide is a resource hub and community builder that connects people to liberation spaces, mutual aid, and organizing tools.
We map thousands of grassroots projects around the world, move material support to mutual aid efforts, and share frameworks, histories, and stories that help people act together against systems of domination.
We’re not a party, not a coalition, and not “the movement.” We’re infrastructure: a place to find each other, learn from each other, and strengthen the work already in motion.
“Follow ideas, not people” sits at the center of what we do.
Volunteer Needs
Several projects that could use volunteer support:
Global Directory of Liberation Spaces: Researching new groups, updating existing listings, and doing light outreach to confirm details and build connections.
Mutual Aid General Fund & Farmworker Rental Assistance Program: Supporting communication with partner groups, organizing impact updates, and helping document stories from the work.
Education Projects (A Guide for Radicals, courses, and podcasts): Assisting with editing, transcription, resource curation, and basic production support.
Communications & Digital Infrastructure: Helping with social media posts, newsletter prep, basic website updates, and accessibility improvements.
Most of this work can be done remotely and scheduled around a person’s existing commitments.
